How we work

We work according to the unique method developed by Maya Sievert, the “Three-Phase Treatment Model”

IDENTIFY-INVOLVE-RELEASE

short for the three major steps we take on our way to wellbeing. This treatment approach allows us therapists to specifically address the needs of the individual patient and to remedy complaints efficiently. We read out body’s energy field and IDENTIFY disturbances in the natural flow of energy that have manifested themselves in form of often painful tensions and knots.

After discussing the patient’s medical history and taking and a thorough “touch diagnosis”, we start with the loosening-up phase, e.g. the general reduction of the muscular hypertone, during which we initially work without oil. This enables us to interact precisely with the local pressure points and also to stimulate deeper muscular layers (“deep-tissue massage”). Then, we INVOLVE the highly intelligent cells that form every structure in our body, applying pressure impulses that are targeted directly at the muscular control centers and aim to surpass the tension stored within the muscle memory. Through a graduated gentle build-up of the pulse intensity, we attain the threshold necessary for the reduction of the muscle tone, all the time “listening to” the biofeedback of the muscles. Once this has been achieved, the musculature loosens appreciably, and we RELEASE the pain:

the negative energy flowing out leads to a distinctive improvement of physical health and spiritual wellbeing (“water-lock effect”). The initial pain information gets reabsorbed into the natural energy flow of the body (“rebalancing effect”).We specifically address and activate the self-regenerative powers of each patient. A massage session with us is always a cooperation with the highly intelligent and brilliant masterpiece “human body”, for which we hold great respect.

After the impulse-oriented releasing phase, the smoothing-out phase follows, here we start working with a massage lotion of the patient’s choice. The lotion reduces the skin resistance and allows us to use long-stroked and large-scale massage techniques perfect for addressing the larger muscle groups now that the surface tension is gone. Thus, the deep-relaxation effect is intensified and the general regeneration of the muscle sped up.

The “Three-Phase Treatment Model” is the ideal treatment for patients with both acute and chronic pain and has so far convinced everybody that has booked an appointment with us. The positive effects manifesting themselves even throughout the very first massage session are often described as “mind-blowing”.
